1) Math Test: 2-D Geometry (Tuesday, December 19th)
Be able to:
- Identify a right, half of a right, and a straight angle.
- Identify polygons (square, triangle, rectangle, quadrilateral, rhombus, trapezoid, parallelogram, pentagon, hexagon, heptagon, and octagon).
- Sort quadrilaterals into a Venn Diagram based on it's attributes (e.g. parallel sides, side lengths, angles)
- Short Answers: In this section, you will need to describe how two shapes are similar and/or different.
- Matching: You will need to match a polygon with its definition.

1) Math Sheet: Identifying Quadrilaterals and Comparing Angles to a Right Angle
Due: Wednesday, December 13th
** This will help you prepare for the quiz this Wednesday.

2) Math Quiz: Angles and Polygons (Wednesday, December 13th)
Be able to:
- Tell in degrees how big a straight, right, half of a right angle is.
- Tell if an an obtuse/acute angle is more or less than a right angle.
- Identify and describe a right, half of a right, and a straight angle.
- Identify polygons (square, triangle, rectangle, quadrilateral, rhombus, trapezoid, parallelogram, pentagon, hexagon, heptagon, and octagon).

1. Final Time Test: Thursday, November 30th
- Be able to draw and tell time to the nearest minute on analogue clocks.
- Estimate Time: Given a situation, tell how long it would take to do something.
- Elapsed Time: Word Problems involving elapsed time, including years and decades.
- Units of Time: Matching one unit of time to another unit of time that is equal to it.
To get these correct, you need to understand how long the following are: hour, day, week, month, year, decade, century. 
For example: 3 hours would match up with 180 minutes.
Another example: 40 years would match up with 4 decades.
**** You may use a calculator for this test! :)

2. Reading Assessment - Determining the main idea and supporting details of a text (article).
Friday, December 1st
- You will need to identify and write down the main idea.
- You will need to identify and write down 3 or more supporting details (related to the main idea).

** Remember, you have all week (up to the 24th) to complete this homework. Number four explains what will be on your upcoming quest (test). This information is provided so you can review anything you're unsure of with a parent/sibling or ask me any questions ahead of time. We haven't learnt a couple of things yet (i.e. - rounding), so don't worry if you don't know everything yet....you will. :)

3. Raz Kids = (Optional). You can do this instead of reading each night OR you could do it as well. Try reading 1 book and answering the quiz for it.

4. There will be a math quest early next week on the following items:
(I will review this with you later on in the week.)

- Representing numbers in a place value chart (thousands, hundreds, tens, ones).
- Representing numbers in standard form (e.g. 4,529), expanded form (4,000 + 500 + 20 + 9), and number word form ( four thousand five hundred twenty-nine).
- State the value of a digit in a number (e.g. 7, 837.  The value of the "8" is 800.
- Rounding numbers to the nearest ten, hundred, and thousand.
- Comparing numbers to tell whether they are greater than (>), less than (<), or equal to (=) one another.
- Ordering numbers from greatest to least and least to greatest.
- Another question where you need to apply your knowledge of place value/numbers to a problem. You will also need to be able to explain your thinking.
